The late-night sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live was created by Lorne Michaels and has been on the air since 1975. Each episode has a celebrity host and musical guest, who often take in the improvised skits that parody contemporary culture and politics.
Since its premiere, SNL has featured some of the biggest names in comedy including Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, John Belushi, Chris Rock, and Tina Fey. The show has won over 70 Emmy Awards and two Peabody Awards. Originally narrated by Don Pardo, the voice of SNL is now alum Darrell Hammond.
