A prominent lawyer and media executive, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has emerged as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) 2023 presidential candidate. Adebayo scored 1,526 votes to emerge as the party’s standard-bearer, defeating the only co-contestant, Khadija Lamidi, who polled 83 votes.
Naija News reports that Adebayo won the party’s presidential ticket at the SDP National Convention held on Wednesday in Abuja.
In his acceptance speech, Adebayo said that his emergence indicates that it was the turn of the Nigerian masses to take over power in 2023 and enjoy the dividends of democracy. Read More...

An Alabama father and son died after they crashed into each other head-on in separate vehicles.
Police said Jeffrey Brasher, 50, was killed instantly about 4 a.m. Saturday when his truck collided with a pickup truck his 22-year-old son Austin was driving. The younger Brasher died hours after the accident.
