Biography: Gale Sayers was an American football halfback who played for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. Known as "The Kansas Comet," Sayers is renowned for his elusiveness and agility on the field.

During his career, Sayers made a significant impact on the Bears and the NFL as a whole. He led the league in rushing twice and was a four-time Pro Bowler. His ability to quickly change direction, coupled with his speed, made him a threat to opposing teams and a delight for fans.

Unfortunately Sayers' career was cut short due to knee injuries. Despite his relatively short career, he was nevertheless inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977.
