Ahmad al-Assir, a radical preacher, whose followers battled the Lebanese army before he went into hiding two years ago, tried to board a plane to Nigeria using a fake passport.
The cleric was, however, seized at Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut. He made an attempt to flee over the weekend.

Not only did he get a forged travelling document but also a new look to leave the country. Some reports provided that he al-Assir had undergone plastic surgery.
